Book your pets holiday, before your own. Although we have 20 cat runs, we have just 8 large dog kennels, each suitable for 2 large, or 3 small dogs from the same family. Dog walk trail

All our boarded dogs get a 1.6 kilometre walk every day on our property walk trail as well as time in our grassed runs with other sociable dogs. They are always walked on a lead and have plenty of time to sniff around although many are just hell-bent on getting to the finish line despite counselling! Owners are also welcome to take their dog(s) for the walk prior to boarding if necessary, to help them settle in....

ABC Classic FM

Our canine guests listen to ABC Classic FM. We have tried a few other genres including rock, blues, country and soft grunge. There is even dog music on Spotify but in the end, classical music and the gental tones of the presenters appears to do the trick. If you dog seems a little unsettled back at home, some ABC Classic FM may bring back fond memories of their holiday at Bushlands Pet Retreat!...

Cat ramps for seniors

We have 20 cat runs so always have availability throughout the year, except for Christmas, which is generally booked out by the end of October.Three of our cat runs have ramps to the inside and outside platforms. Your senior cat can enjoy the sun, shining into the outside enclosure, or navigate the ramps and cat access door to the inside air conditioned enclosure....

Snooza cat igloos

At Bushlands, all our cats can snuggle into Snooza Igloos. If you want to take one home with your cat after its stay, just let us know at check-in and we will insure your cat has a new igloo from our stock. They can be purchased at our cost price of $50.00 inc. GST. (You get a good price on an igloo and our washing machine gets a lighter load)!...

Kennel heating trial

This is our `test dog` but he's no test dummy. He is an intelligent, gentle Bullmastiff X named Milhouse and he is helping to test our new dog kennel underfloor heating project. He is a willing participant and warming up his 65 kilograms is just what we needed to test the system!...

Open as usual

Land for wildlife

Land for Wildlife is a voluntary scheme to encourage and assist private landholders to provide habitat for wildlife in bushland on their property.  The program is the creation of the Department of Parks and Wildlife, with partner NRMWA who help participants manage their bushland for wildlife habitat.
