About the owners

Jean Hydleman and Ralph Edwards, owners and directors of Bushlands Pet Resort, share a love of animals that they have both had since childhood.  They currently own four dogs and five cats.  Developing Bushlands Pet Resort has been the realisation of a dream and a vision of the sort of place where they would want to board or train their own pets

Jean Hydleman

Jean is responsible for the day to day operation of the resort.  She is a certified Companion Animal Hygienist for both dogs and cats and has attended a number of courses on dog training and kennel management.

In her free time Jean is actively involved in trialling their three sheepdogs, Laydee, Texan and Lohni and still does the occasional agility trial with her Border Collie X Bruce.

Jean is also the South West rep for Border Collie Rescue south of Mandurah and spends a lot of her time rehabilitating and rehoming unwanted border collies.

Ralph Edwards

 

Ralph is involved with the resort on a part time basis, mainly at weekends.  He is the resort's handyman and responsible for most of the maintenance and new small scale development.  When not working in his day job or in the resort, Ralph is also busy doing fencing and development on our small hobby farm on our 100 acre property.
